Winter Garden

Simon Corder has worked all over the world, creating breathtaking installations in situations ranging from nocturnal lighting at Singapore Zoo to an installation at Alnwick Garden; he also designs for opera, theatre and dance. For Lumiere, he is creating a new commission for the Grade 1 listed Elvet Bridge. Winter Garden is an exotic garden of light, reaching from the rain shadow beneath the arches to hang high above from a towering mature tree. Vivid colours like strange tropical blooms drip from the trees, lifting our spirits in the dark winter months when few flowers are to be seen.
