Photon
FIELD
6pm – 11pm | Silver Street
New Commission
Photon is a playful, magical installation for children and everyone young at heart. Two large images are projected onto the ground, containing thousands of colourful glowing light particles, which bounce off our arms and bodies. The installation invites the visitor to play, dance, jump and interact with the light in a never-ending game.
Photon is the latest trick of the London-based graphic studio FIELD, who worked for clients ranging from Nokia to the Museum of London, and exhibited in festivals around Europe and in the US. Their installation Bright Nights, created with studio Pickledonion for Union Square Park, became hugely popular among New Yorkers in 2006.

FIELD
FIELD uses modern software to create unusual artworks that have a life of their own. Inspired by science and nature, FIELD produce fluid artworks that interact with the audience. Their interactive night sky Orbiter allows visitors to play music with the stars. The drawing software Nervous Ink is a toy that brings scribbles to life. Last year FIELD created the short film Interim Camp, an expedition into surreal and colourful ice landscapes.
