The banks, weirs and bridges along the river between Pennyferry Bridge and Prebends Bridge provide the backdrop for an ambitious installation by London-based lighting studio Creatmosphere and its founder Laurent Louyer. Begin your walk from Pennyferry Bridge, and a familiar stretch of river will be transformed into a magical landscape before your very eyes. And who knows, there may be a surprise on the way…

Creatmosphere
Creatmosphere has been transforming and animating city, urban and natural landscapes since 2003. Creatmosphere’s site-specific installations interact with audiences, encouraging them to reflect on and reconsider the spaces explored. In 2006, they developed Breathing Trees, an immersive installation that transforms trees into breathing lungs. It has been seen in Geneva, Peru and Lima. Creatmosphere has taken part in numerous light festivals in the UK and Europe, including Luminale in Wiesbaden, Russelheim in Germany, Arbres et Lumières in Geneva, Glow, Newcastle and La Fête des Lumières in Lyon.

Wear sturdy shoes and be careful – the path may be slippery. One-way only along the river bank from Pennyferry Bridge to Prebends Bridge – no access from Prebends Bridge.
It is possible to use the path in a wheelchair, but it is bumpy!
