Bottle Festoon
Anyone and everyone
6pm – 11pm | Next to the old ice rink, near Pennyferry Bridge
A chance for residents of Durham to create one of our installations. Bring a plastic bottle to Clayport Library on the afternoons of Tuesday 10th – Saturday 14th November and leave having completed a glittering chandelier. This piece, originally created by environmental artist Thadian Pillai, combines beautiful artwork and eco-friendly values. They will be displayed in Durham during the event, adding another level of community spirit to the festival. For more information on attending a workshop, please contact phoebe.davies@artichoke.uk.com.
Original concept by Thadian Pillai, entitled Message in a Bottle.
Your Comments
This was a lovely surprise, one of the smaller works in the Festival that succeeded quite unexpectedly - a touch of magic in the corner of the car park!
